I've been "on plan" for almost 7 weeks now, and while there's still a lot of work to do, I have the basics for eating healthy under control. This is great news, except that "I have to get my diet in order" was the last remaining excuse for why I don't exercise. Now I'm forced to face the music. I was never all that active physically (though as a kid I rode my bike all over the place) so "starting to exercise" is not something that I get excited about. I have to sort of trick myself into being active: "the elevator takes too long, so I'll take the stairs" or going out to shoot photos. This week I really made an effort to get to the next level of activity, figuratively and literally, and I ended up climbing the waterfront observation tower not once, but twice.
