I'm going to blaspheme and admit I'm not a fan of the Central Terminal. Of course, since I'm not originally from around here, I've never known the building as anything other than a decaying hulk towering over an urban wasteland, and I'm left to evaluate it on those terms. Without the flattering sheen of nostalgia or the bustle of life and purpose, the Central Terminal is exposed as a rather graceless relic of better days. Now, that's not to say it doesn't have a rugged beauty... in fact it's hard not to be affected by the sheer scale of the place, and if you sort of half squint it's easy to picture the Terminal in its glory days. But the spell only lasts for so long, and then you're back to standing on crumbling pavement in front of the boarded up entrance.
