The Christmas List

Don't get me wrong, I love the internet, I just wish it had been around ten or fifteen years sooner, because then I'd be able to listen to The Christmas List. The Christmas List is a song that I had on a mix tape back in the day, and despite my best efforts I've been unable to find it anywhere online. That's a shame, because the cheesy synthesizer and off-key vocals hide an oddly touching lyric. Here it is as best as I can recall:

When Christmas comes it's time to find a gift to give to you / So I went out to all the stores but nothing there would do / I went to Venture and to Zayre, I went to K-Mart too / But nothing that I found in stores was good enough for you / So I went home to think about what gift you'd like to see / But nothing in the catalogs seemed good enough to me / I went to Target and to Zayre, I went to K-Mart too / But nothing that I found in stores was good enough for you / The present that I chose for you will never disappear / It's all the love I have for you for fifty hundred years / I went to Wal-Mart and to Zayre, I went to K-Mart too / But nothing that I found in stores was good enough for you / Cause nothing I could buy in stores would show my love for you

Where's a god damn tissue when you need one?
