The building on the left is one of my favorites - the Onondaga County Court House in Syracuse. I took this photo when it was undergoing some renovation work, so you can't see the beautiful copper cladding on the domes or the tiny cupola and statue of justice that tops it all off. The Court House faces Columbus Circle, a fountain ringed by some of Syracuse's most impressive buildings: Mizpah Tower, the Carnegie Library and Roman Catholic Cathedral. I was raised to keep quiet if I don't have anything nice to say, so I'll refrain from mentioning the County Civic Center (on the right in the photo above) other than to tell you it's not a bad building so much as one that hasn't aged well.
